Finished gardens & terraces - Our reference projects

Terrace with water feature

Terrace with fountain

The spatial structure of this terrace was divided into two focal areas: One area is more semi-shaded and includes lawn, hydrangeas, and a small strip of slabs for a bistro table.

The other area is a pure slab surface with a water basin and a natural stone wall rising behind it. The water flows gently over this natural stone wall directly into the water basin, making a gentle splashing sound. The basin and wall are of one piece and are skillfully set off by two maples. The high hedge hides the surroundings so that the focus is on the terrace and the fountain remains the highlight. This second area also forms the dining area, whereas the first area is more for sunbathing and lounging.

Connection and visual relationship

The two areas are connected by a long, narrow tube with a slabbed surface. Selective vessels, furnishings, and decorations break up this hose and better structure the space. Two elongated planters made of the same material as the fountain, for example, line this path. The focus is the lake, and the design supports this visual relationship. Even the pine tree below the terrace does not interfere with the lake view; on the contrary, its loose growth makes it a great eye-catcher.

With a coherent color concept in modern shades of gray and brown, the design is rounded off and the essentials are emphasized: the lush green or red of the plants, the elegant planters, garden furniture and decorations.
