The wooden deck around the new semi-detached house is slightly raised and is thus gently separated from the wide lawn. From the spacious wooden deck, a few steps lead through the lawn to a seating area directly by the lake. A lot of gravel and dry stone walls were used in this area of the garden. The wall can also be used as a seating area with a view of the lake. At the same time, the chosen sandstone dry stone wall provides a biotope for various amphibians and insects.
Naturalness for people and animals in the garden
This ecological added value of the garden was particularly important to the clients. The materials and curved lines characterise this natural garden with a fantastic view of the lake.
Development of natural planting
The chaussured seating area is slightly lower than the surrounding lawn. This creates a subtle spatial organisation of the garden without disrupting the unity of the entire property. In order not to disturb the very special view, no trees or large shrubs were planted in the front part of the seating area. Instead, there is an area next to the seating area where the natural planting can develop freely. This naturalness was incorporated and emphasised with the rough stones leading to the boat ramp. The transition from the lawn to the seating area and the embankment protection were designed with flat sandstones and planted with native shrubs.
Neighbouring garden
The wooden deck in the background belongs to the second party of the two-family house. Take a look at our reference here „House by the lake“ to.
