Patios don’t have to be grey and bare: With the right plan­ting, the patio becomes a green oasis in the open air. A deli­bera­tely chosen plan­ting scheme in matching plan­ters sets deco­ra­tive accents and creates inte­res­ting eye-catchers. In addi­tion, a harmo­nious natural look is achieved with a perfect plan­ting concept. In addi­tion to the natural look, plants and soli­tary shrubs provide shade and create spatial struc­tures, espe­ci­ally on roof terraces. Whether a privacy screen is made from a solid mate­rial such as stone, wood or metal or from natural plan­ting, the visual effect must always be taken into account when choo­sing a privacy screen. But it’s not just keeping out prying eyes that creates a personal retreat. By crea­ting eye-catchers, the eye is consciously guided through the outdoor living room when ente­ring the patio. The focus remains on the patio and the surroun­ding houses fade into the back­ground.

Foun­tains and water features on the terrace

Water has a calming effect on us humans. It has an attrac­tive and rela­xing effect. The gentle splas­hing also has some­thing prac­tical: it cuts through any noise from the street or neigh­bours. Foun­tains and water features really come into their own on a patio and become a real centre of attrac­tion. The element of water imme­dia­tely gives the patio a lively feel. Of course, it is important to consider the load-bearing capa­city of the surface. As an alter­na­tive to heavy foun­tains, elements such as the Metal­lico Fontana water feature are easier to realise. Depen­ding on the struc­ture and substrate of the patio, a swim­ming pool can also be realised and inte­grated into the design concept of the patio.

Lighting concept for terraces

Lighting plays a central role on the patio. It empha­sises the mood of the patio and creates bright accents and attrac­tive eye-catchers in dark niches. Indi­vi­dual high­lights can be empha­sised with the right lighting, while the lights from neigh­bou­ring houses and the surroun­ding area auto­ma­ti­cally fade into the back­ground. A harmo­nious lighting concept empha­sises the beauty of the patio and turns it into a unique oasis of well-being in the evening and at night.

Irri­ga­tion on the terrace

Once installed, an irri­ga­tion system takes care of all the work, leaving more time to enjoy and expe­ri­ence the patio. Well-hidden irri­ga­tion solu­tions take into account the diffe­rent needs of the plants and do the work fully auto­ma­ti­cally.
