Charming outdoor area: biopool in a warm setting

Every outdoor area is as unique as nature itself, especially with a customised garden design. In this project, we transformed an existing embankment into a warm, harmonious ambience with the help of a well thought-out and aesthetic concept. At the centre of this dreamy garden is an elegant biopool, whose crystal-clear, sparkling water invites you to cool off.

Terracing the slope — more space and width

Before the remodelling, a narrow staircase led down the steep slope right next to the wall of the house. The terrace below was rather small and offered little space for socialising. The client therefore wanted a more elegant and practical solution. The staircase was moved to the centre of the slope, making it appear more open and at the same time allowing a view over the city. The skilful positioning creates a feeling of width and spaciousness. The warm wood design creates an inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger.

The steps are flanked by a comfortable wooden bench that can be used as both a seat and a sunbathing area. In addition, the lush planting with magnificent hydrangeas provides colourful accents and accompanies the descent to the lower garden level. The terracing clearly separates the different garden areas and creates a structured, harmonious division of space: the dining area at the top for relaxed outdoor dining, and the spacious pool area with the radiant biopool at the bottom.

Biopool with counter-current system — refreshment and fitness for hot summer days

The biopool, whose water shines in a deep blue colour in the prefabricated PP pool, is the centrepiece of the garden. Thanks to the prefabricated design, the construction time was significantly reduced, allowing the family to enjoy their personal wellness oasis sooner. The innovative Living Pool technology ensures crystal-clear water — without any chemical additives. A special filter system removes the vital phosphate from the algae, which prevents their formation in the long term. The water remains gentle and does not irritate the skin or eyes, making the Biopool a particularly environmentally friendly alternative that is gentle on the skin.

Another highlight of the pool is the powerful counter-current system, which ensures a sporty swimming workout. The system is installed outside the pool to save space and therefore does not interfere with the swimming area. The current intensity can be controlled individually via a user-friendly app so that the family can set the desired training intensity at any time.

Wooden deck — The stylish frame for the bathing garden

The large wooden deck that frames the biopool gives the garden a warm and inviting atmosphere. It heats up less in the sun than natural stone, which makes getting out of the biopool particularly pleasant on hot summer days. At the same time, the spacious deck offers additional space for a stylish lounge area, inviting you to socialise with family and friends.

Pleasant shade is provided by two large parasols and a majestic ironwood tree (Parrotia persica), which stands out from the deck as a solitary tree and attracts everyone’s attention with its striking silhouette. Other skilfully placed solitary trees create interesting visual axes and reinforce the charming, open feeling of space in the outdoor area.

Light and airy atmosphere thanks to harmonious planting

The well thought-out planting brings vibrancy and a gentle lightness to the garden. Delicate grasses and stylish shrubs create a natural transition between the different garden areas and lighten the atmosphere. The panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) in particular stands out next to the wooden deck and gives the outdoor area an elegant yet natural look.

To preserve the breathtaking view over the city, a half-height planting strip was created in front of the biopool, which runs the entire length of the retreat oasis. The harmonious combination of the flowering silver bush (Pervoskia atriplicifolia) and the beige feather bristle grasses (Pennisetum alopecuroides) creates a colourful contrast and enlivens the family garden in a subtle way.

Overall, this outdoor area impresses with its well thought-out planning and harmonious design. The shimmering biopool invites you to take a dip on sunny days, while the adjoining lounge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. The harmonious interplay of trees, shrubs and grasses rounds off the overall picture and turns this garden into a true oasis of peace and relaxation.
