Garden trends 2024: design options for outdoor spaces

The new year 2024 brings with it many garden trends. We have picked out five of these trends in this article.

Together with our partners, we discussed the latest topics in the world of gardening. We noticed a few garden trends that we would like to share with you. Many of these trends can be easily integrated into your own outdoor space.

Creating deliberate quiet zones for an outdoor living space

Your personal oasis of well-being should be a place of relaxation and tranquillity. After a long day at work, most of us long to relax in our own home. It should be both a place away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and a meeting place for spending time with family and friends.

Such a relaxation zone can be a dining area, a lounge or even a sunbathing area by the water. It is important that the requirements are discussed in detail during the planning stage. A lounge right by the water can provide additional relaxation with a waterspout. The pleasant ambience is rounded off with the help of a well thought-out lighting concept.

In addition to the well thought-out structure of the garden, the furniture naturally plays an important role. From the lounge and dining area to the right choice of parasol: Take your time to make your decision. Choose furniture that is both timeless and practical. Allow space for storing textiles.

Less chemicals when swimming thanks to a natural pool

Sustainability is also becoming increasingly popular in the home pool garden. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in natural pools. Anyone thinking of newts and regeneration zones is wrong. Visually, a natural pool is no different from a conventional swimming pool. Thanks to the innovative Living Pool technology, the water is purified biologically and without chemical additives . This makes the water particularly gentle on the skin and eyes. So every swim feels like swimming in a mountain lake.

Last year, we were once again able to plan and build a wide variety of natural pools with our partner egli jona ag. In our joint show garden, the garden villa, there are a total of seven different pools. You can find out more about the advantages of each pool during a no-obligation initial consultation.

Selected plants for more biodiversity

The environment is generally one of the most topical issues. It therefore stands to reason that many people want to make a commitment to this in their own outdoor living room. Modern structures are loosened up with the help of lush planting and at the same time offer insects food and protection. In this way, aesthetics can be reconciled with sustainability.

In garden planning, this means thinking about the planting in the outdoor space. While the appearance may seem to be the main criterion at first, we recommend that you also think about maintenance . In this way, needs and aesthetics are also in harmony. In addition, the ecological aspect is taken into account and butterflies and bees are offered a natural habitat.

Smart helpers for more relaxation

Maintenance work can be reduced thanks to smart gardening solutions. Lawn robots or automatic irrigation systems can already take a large part of your gardening work off your hands. These can be conveniently controlled via an app and can even take weather forecasts into account. This means your green pets are well cared for even during the hot summer days.

Our partner GardenTec specializes in garden technology. They have planned and installed detailed irrigation systems, rainwater tanks and lighting in various PARC'S gardens.

Natural stone and wood for a cozy atmosphere

Materials play an important role in the outdoor living room. They can separate individual areas from one another or create a certain atmosphere.

Wood and natural stone in particular are timeless classics in garden design. With its rough surface, natural stone provides accents in the garden and can be used both as a floor covering and to decorate flower beds and walls. The robust material is very durable.

Wood creates a homely atmosphere. It is particularly popular around the pool area as it heats up less in strong sunlight. This means that even the little ones can run around barefoot and start their summer vacation right outside the front door.
