Seating area as the centre of the garden
This garden redesign focussed on the seating area. The curved shape of the gravelled area with the surrounding lush planting creates an idyllic and romantic picture. The modern water basin and the linear paving slabs in the lawn tie in with the modern and simple terrace and the building. A skilful combination of bench and water feature was created around the water basin, as the pump shaft was integrated into the seating area.
In contrast to the lush planting, the three tall trees around the seating area stand like pillars. Their accurate spherical crowns are very architectural and striking and structure the planting. It was also important for the client to conceal the dominant neighbouring house and draw the eye to something much more attractive. The newly designed seating area is attractive and creates space for socialising outdoors with a gentle ripple in your ear.
Cosiness created
Around 400m² of the existing 600m² garden was redesigned. The garden consisted mainly of an empty lawn and therefore appeared boring, the outdoor space could not be utilised properly. The clients wanted a seating area with trees and water in the garden. They wanted a place where they could sit comfortably with guests, read a book in the shade or relax and unwind.
