The area around this property is being extended with new living space. This has created a great need for privacy. The pool area should remain protected without making the garden feel constricting. In contrast, the supported embankment with a lawn area remained rather unused. There was a lot of untapped potential on the generous overall area. The new design can already be seen in the 3D visualization of the garden.
The garden before:
Design idea for the new garden
The new design brings the different areas together in a uniform overall concept. The swimming pool remains the focal point, which after the redesign will be embedded in a green setting by three espalier trees. The new wooden privacy screen is also concealed by the espalier trees and lush planting and frames the entire garden. The wood used is taken up again and again. This creates a new wooden deck around the pool. The bench, which also provides storage space, is also made from the same material. Here in the central area, different surfaces are created from wood, slabs, gravel and lawn. The different materials ensure a more natural look and a varied design in the garden.
Making new areas in the garden usable
Behind the bench, the embankment will be replaced by a new seating area. Starting with a lawn and a wide strip of plants, a staircase leads to the lounge area with the planned daybed and fire bowl. The view from this raised area remains unobstructed. At the same time, the level creates new visual relationships in the garden. Accompanied by flowering plants and solitary shrubs, another small seating area is hidden in the gravel area. Thanks to the new design around the house, a shady spot can be found at any time of day on hot summer days. The harmonious mixed planting of specimen and flowering shrubs is rounded off with perennials and grasses.
