Small garden with wooden deck
This reference is a small garden bijoux in Rapperswil. The striking element is undoubtedly the wooden walkway. It runs through the small garden like a red thread, accompanied by three Japanese maples and green islands of ornamental grass and cranberries. On the left side of the wooden walkway is the simple part of the garden with a chaussure and stepping stones made of Luserna gneiss. Opposite, a wild border blooms, which the clientele had requested as an experimental area.
Customer wishes implemented
The client wanted a stylish but low-maintenance garden with the opportunity for creative development. In the experimental area, customers can also plant something themselves without disrupting the design concept. On the contrary: the colorful border is an important design element in this garden. It also provides privacy and conceals the flat roof of the adjoining house in front of it. At the same time, it ensures a visual connection to Lake Zurich and provides a wonderful view.
From the study to the terrace
The wooden terrace is located at the back of the garden and is accessible from the inside via the study. The two wooden boxes form a fixed lounge element that offers storage space and therefore also has a functional use. The natural stone wall made of Luserna gneiss closes off the terrace from the adjoining wall and gives the room charm and warmth. Lavender and stonecrop bloom above the wall in summer.
The transformation of the garden is amazing. What was previously dominated by a long, unstructured hose is now a cozy, lively and low-maintenance garden dream.
