Oasis with fountain in the middle of a winery

Wine tastings in a garden oasis

This garden is used not only by the owners, but also by their guests. In the back part of the garden there are five rows of vines, which are used among other things for the in-house wine production. Therefore, after the redesign, the garden should offer a generous and unique area for tastings. Where before there was an unsuitable meadow, now a U-shaped wooden deck in front of the already existing and unique winter garden inspires.

In addition to a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, this green oasis also offers an acoustic highlight: the fountain in the middle of the gravel area is the center of the garden and forms a beautiful conclusion to the vines. The lateral natural stone wall next to the fountain can be used as a seating element and additionally structures the garden. In last year's video feature, this particular fountain was featured during the redesign. The fireplace next to the fountain gives the garden a very special atmosphere at dusk.

Fountain as a central element

The focal point is the large fountain and the half-height natural stone wall, which particularly accentuate the vines in the rear part of the garden. As a connecting element, tread plates lie in the gravel surface, which surround the fountain and the seating wall. At the same time, this emphasizes the visual axis between the fountain, walls and vines. Thus, the builders can enjoy a wonderful view from the winter garden all year round. The natural stone used for the fountain and the seating wall, as well as the wooden deck all around, blend harmoniously with the surroundings. The water feature adds naturalness to the garden and draws the eye to the wonderful view beyond.

Framing with plants

The new plantings enhance the garden's simple and elegant style. The two existing spherical pointed maples were retained and two more were added at the end of one wooden deck wing. The two newly placed trees serve as shade for the seating wall on the gravel area. Since the back of the garden is an agricultural area, the garden was visually separated by a planting strip. The existing row of vines on the side privacy wall was replanted. Thus, on both sides, groups of evergreen and flowering shrubs accompany out into the natural garden. The purple lavender around the new wooden deck adds a subtle splash of color to the garden.
