Garden design with fountain

This garden is one of the 50 most beautiful gardens 2019 in the entire German-speaking area.

Fountain as a center

The fountain immediately gives this garden something lively, making it the center and center of attraction of the design. Viewed from the house, it is located at the far end of the generous lawn, which creates space and expanse in the otherwise small garden. The design details were arranged around the lawn and aligned with the fountain. For example, the rock pear tree in front of the house is also repeated by the fountain, creating a diagonal visual relationship.

Varied planting

From the house, the garden begins with a warm wooden deck. A gravel path encloses the garden and leads past varied plantings to a narrow planting strip: Various sun-loving foliage ornamental perennials mingle with white and purple irises. Silvery, green, narrow, and broad leaves harmonize side by side and provide playful contrasts. The back section of the path with the pergola forms a semi-shaded area. Over time, the wooden pergola will be overgrown by various climbing plants and form a green roof, for the hostas and hydrangeas below.

Seating area with fountain

The gravel path continues around the corner, where it turns into a seating area. In order to create different levels in the layout of the space, the seating area is finely set off from the lawn with a step. The armchair lounge invites to cozy garden hours, accompanied by the gentle sound carpet of the three semicircular fountains in the fountain. Due to the wide edge and the pleasant height, the fountain can also be used as additional seating next to the lounge.
