This garden is one of the 50 most beautiful gardens in German-speaking countries in 2019.
Fountain as the focal point
The fountain immediately brings this garden to life, making it the center and focal point of the design. Seen from the house, it is located at the other end of the spacious lawn, which creates space and width in the otherwise rather small garden. The design details were arranged around the lawn and aligned with the fountain. For example, the rock pear in front of the house is repeated near the fountain, creating a diagonal visual relationship.
Varied planting
The garden begins from the house with a warm wooden deck. A gravel path surrounds the garden and leads past varied planting to a narrow strip of plants: Various sun-loving ornamental foliage perennials mingle with white and purple irises. Silvery, green, narrow and broad leaves harmonize next to each other and create playful contrasts. The rear section of the path with the pergola forms a semi-shaded area. Over time, the wooden pergola will be overgrown with various climbing plants and form a green roof for the hostas and hydrangeas below.
Seating area with fountain
The gravel path continues around the corner, where it merges into a seating area. To create different levels in the room layout, the seating area is set off from the lawn with a step. The armchair lounge invites you to spend cozy hours in the garden, accompanied by the gentle sound of the three semicircular fountains in the well. Thanks to its wide rim and comfortable height, the fountain can also be used as additional seating next to the lounge.
