Swimming pond with natural regeneration zone
The swimming pond in this private garden is not immediately obvious: it is located in the lower part of the garden and can be reached via the spacious staircase with irregularly arranged steps. Evergreen shrubs, grasses and uniform perennials line the path along the steps, creating a sense of lightness and embedding the stone steps naturally into the overall picture. The separate swimming area of the swimming pond invites you to swim next to aquatic plants.
Multifaceted garden with lots of water
The different levels in this garden create exciting niches. The wooden deck in the upper area is broken up by irregular paving stone strips and creates a warm atmosphere. Yew hedges wrap around the garden seating area, creating cosy privacy. The garden was designed around the two existing old trees and therefore looks as if it has been there for decades.
The highlight of this level is a water basin with two cubic gargoyles whose water seems to pour out of the lush hydrangea blossoms. The element of water is also incorporated on the lower garden level with the swimming pond. The grasses and loose planting of perennials and shrubs separate the swimming pond and the property from the neighbouring agricultural zone.
