Versatile living garden

Living garden on two levels

In the course of extending the garage canopy, the entire garden was given a new overall concept. Where there was previously an unstructured lawn with scattered shrubs, an attractive and functional garden design has now been created. The client wanted a versatile residential garden. Walls of different heights, which both level and support the terrain, divide the garden into two levels with different qualities.

A generous lawn area with lush flowering herbaceous borders along the edge and wonderful shrubs on one side provide airiness. Umbrella-shaped shrubs form an eye-catcher on this side and further emphasise the spaciousness of the garden.

A slightly sunken lounge area with a fire bowl and natural gravel on the other side creates a cosy atmosphere. Low-maintenance grasses frame this area. The evergreen hedge provides an additional boundary and also serves as a privacy screen. The cosy lounge level is the ideal retreat for relaxing hours. The garden and the surrounding landscape merge into a single unit, visually extending the garden.

Airy pergola

Between the two levels, a cosy seating area by the house with a pergola invites you to linger and enjoy. The previously green pergola has given way to a modern, sleek and airy metal pergola. Adjustable fabric panels provide pleasant shade. The extensive greening of the garage roof in front of it extends the green zone and allows the eye to wander over the surrounding landscape. The forecourt below has been renovated and offers a large parking area for vehicles. The simple design of the forecourt blends harmoniously into the design and ensures a calm overall appearance.
