The pictures of this garden are a very special highlight this year. This remodelling was even featured in Traumhaus magazine and has inspired many readers. Well thought-out garden planning has created an oasis here that seems to merge with the landscape and makes the newly planted trees very special eye-catchers.

Characterful trees as a special feature in the garden
The client loves large trees, which was emphasised when planning this garden. Precisely chosen and carefully placed, these trees give the outdoor area a particularly strong character and skilfully conceal the surrounding houses. The Scots pines (Pinus sylvestris) with deeply fissured bark rise up amidst the gentle planting and form veritable sculptures that lend the garden this mystical character.
The contrast to the evergreen Scots pines is provided by various multi-stemmed ironwood trees with fine bark and a colourful autumn dress. The plant composition should be low-maintenance. The selected grasses, perennials and shrubs create a sea of grasses that runs through the entire garden and unites all parts into a single unit. Thanks to the choice of plants and the reduction of materials, the garden radiates an incredible sense of calm, by day and by night.
Different levels for exciting visual relationships
A ban on backfilling in parts of the garden was a challenge during this redesign. The wooden deck therefore had to be built partly floating. The newly created levels enabled a gentle division of the garden. The new layout of the garden also emphasises the water feature in the middle section. From every vantage point, you have a direct view of the fantastic gargoyles, while the planters placed behind them with the illuminated maple further emphasise the fountain.
Lighting concept for a unique ambience at night
The lighting at night makes this garden a unique place to relax even after sunset. The lighting on the steps, discreetly placed lighting on the path and the light sources under the trees accompany you as you enter the garden into the entrance area. The beautifully illuminated treetops of the Parrotia persica are not only beautiful to look at from the outside, but also attract attention from inside the house. From the centre of the garden — the seating area in the upper part — the lighting concept unfolds its full effect. The Scots pines and their bark are shown to their best advantage, while a diffuse light illuminates the entire maple bush. Underwater lights were placed in the water feature, which are directed at the water inlets. The reflection of the light in the water transforms the fountain into a very special highlight of the garden in the evening and at night.
