Terrace with pool

Blue oasis with lake view

The existing terrace of this terrace house flat with a view of the lake was completely remodelled and a pool was added. The rear terrace area is not underbuilt and was therefore used for the new pool. The originally very monotonous terrace with wooden decking, a lawn at the rear and an ashlar wall was transformed into an airy lounge area with a wonderful ambience. The original wooden floor of the terrace has been replaced and extended at the rear around the new pool. This provides naturalness and interesting contrasts to the crystal-clear pool. Wooden cubes liven up the atmosphere and provide additional space for sitting, lounging and relaxing. Overhanging maples in green and red at the same height are shown to their best advantage in the planting area and provide naturalness and a subtle structure to the patio. Dark clay planters have been planted in fresh green to create accents.

Different areas for all needs

The terrace fulfils all the requirements of a cosy outdoor living room in three different areas. A spacious dining area with a wooden table, armchairs and a lounger cube can be used for cosy get-togethers. The gentle room layout further emphasises the openness of the spacious terrace. The pool area has been supplemented with a narrow planting strip with fragrant lavender and columnar yews along the existing house wall. These bring freshness and additional naturalness to the blue pool. The sunbathing area by the pool is set back and not visible from the dining area. Here you can enjoy the beautiful summer days in idyllic privacy. A further wall was added to the concrete wall in the lounge area behind the pool and faced with natural stone. This creates a wonderful contrast to the wooden floor of the terrace. From the lounge area, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the lake and the entire terrace.
