Simple elegance on a hillside location

Different levels on the slope

The location of the property on a slope made it necessary to divide the garden into different levels. The upper level of the property is accessed via the simple entrance area with garage forecourt, which is planted with pretty, low-maintenance evergreen grass, hydrangeas and yews as well as a courtyard tree. Behind the house on the same level is a cosy seating area. Surrounded by pine trees, a loose planting of grasses and a simple concrete bench, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake from here. The simple yet well thought-out design of the seating area is reminiscent of the Scandinavian style due to its simplicity. A pool with sunbathing area is also located on the upper garden level. The bright blue pool connects with the lake in the distance and offers a refreshing way to cool off in summer.

Lots of greenery with simple planting

A narrow gravel path connects the steps with the covered seating area by the house. The lower level of the garden is dominated by a green lawn. A steel staircase with gravel infill leads down to the lower lawn area. The simple steel staircase blends in perfectly with the overall house and neighbourhood concept. The simplified element is repeated several times in the design and ensures a constant ambience.

The lawn at the level of the seating area is home to three multi-stemmed, roof-shaped plane trees, which provide gentle shade and also serve as a privacy screen from the neighbouring property. The planting of the entire garden design is characterised by its simplicity. While the surrounding area is framed by evergreen shrubs, delicate flowering shrubs provide a natural splash of colour in the inner garden area. Various ornamental grasses in combination with lavender as flat plantings round off the planting concept of the garden on the slope.
