Private garden with swimming pool

Swimming pool in the family garden

Everything revolves around this swimming pool: located in the corner of the garden, it attracts attention from all three parts of the garden. The first part, next to the staircase, is a large terrace area laid with Luserna natural stone slabs. Cosy hours can be spent in company under the lounge with its large parasol overlooking the swimming pool. The second part is a lawn area framed by paving slabs with a bench and two slender pots directly opposite the large living room window. The lawn is also a wonderful place to take a dip in the pool. The client’s children particularly appreciate this „runway“. The third part of the garden is the shaded seating area on gravel with hydrangea planting at the back of the garden, from which there is also a beautiful line of sight to the swimming pool.

Forest as a unique challenge

Behind the property boundary lies the forest — a rare and therefore wonderful challenge. The aim was to create a flowing transition between the wild green of the forest and the cultivated green of the garden design. A natural gradation was created with a mix of shrubs after the lawn. Another interesting garden detail is the transition from the gravelled area to the lawn, which is framed by a tree gate made of Asian flowering dogwood. The stepping slabs made of Luserna gneiss in the gravel show the pathway.

Equipment down to the last detail

At the client’s request, the garden was wrapped in grasses right down to the last corner. This gives the design a personal and refined touch. The patio area was furnished with many pots, all from the Belgian brand Studio square. To ensure that the plants are sufficiently watered, the containers are equipped with an automatic irrigation system. A lawn robot, discreetly hidden at the edge of the planting area, takes care of the perfect lawn. To ensure that the garden radiates a cosy atmosphere even after sunset, containers and individual plants are illuminated.
