This modern patio design was deliberately kept simple and reduced to the essentials: The unique view always takes centre stage. The wooden furniture turns the covered area into a cosy lounge with a warm atmosphere. The three dark planters in the front corner create an elegant accent without drawing attention away from the view.
From the room, the view is led outside through the loosely planted grasses. At the same time, the grasses in the gravelled area create an exciting variety and divide up the elongated terrace area.
The view at the centre of terrace design
With this terrace design, the focus was always on the view. The surrounding landscape and the lake can be seen from the open-air living room. A glass railing was therefore chosen to surround the area. This means that the surroundings can be viewed undisturbed while relaxing in the lounge. At the same time, the large porcelain stone slabs ensure a seamless transition from the lounge to the terrace. Thanks to their size, they visually enlarge the outdoor living room and create a modern design.
Containers and planting as privacy screens and interior designers
While planting strips and large specimen trees can be used in the garden, containers and troughs are used in terrace design. On this patio, they fulfil three different functions at once: Screening, space creation and ambience. The elegant containers break up the straight lines and make the patio cosier and more homely.
