Elegant and atmospheric family garden
The client wanted a pool for the whole family and a low-maintenance garden. The previously uneven and partially sloped lawn and the two small seating areas were transformed into an atmospheric family garden with a naturally clean pool. The lawn and the embankment were divided into different levels to create a gentler sequence of spaces. In place of the lawn, low-maintenance paving made of stone and wood creates a harmonious and natural overall look. The existing seating area at the bottom of the house was enlarged and offers the family a cosy place to relax. The pavilion in front of it is concealed by three beautiful espalier trees. The varied and low-maintenance undergrowth further lightens the atmosphere. A light planting of ornamental grasses and evergreens creates an airy atmosphere.
A pool level with charm
The centre of the garden is the naturally purified pool, which invites you to swim and enjoy. The wooden pool surround offers a pleasant place to sit by the water, where you can let your gaze wander over the surface of the water. Three steps, surrounded by two platforms with solitary pots and attractive plants, lead up to the wooden pool level. The natural material provides a warm flair and also offers practical storage space for the pool equipment. This level ends with a spacious wooden seating and lounging area, which is ideal for cosy hours by the water.
Slightly above the pool — accessible via three further steps — is a cosy lounge level. From this seating area, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the water and garden as well as the surrounding area. The natural stone wall behind the lounge supports the terrain behind it. Calm and flowing planting with ornamental grasses optimally conceals the embankment and provides softness.
