Natural pool in a cosy atmosphere

A narrow staircase leads from the terrace of the detached house to the new centre of the outdoor area. The swimming pool with its crystal-clear water invites you to spend relaxing afternoons in the sun and transforms the small garden into a true bathing paradise.

Natural pool for an excellent swimming experience

The new centre of the garden is the natural pool, which is cleaned without chemicals. The biofilter removes the vital phosphate from the algae, preventing their formation. This makes the bathing experience feel as if you have jumped into the cooling refreshment of a mountain lake. The chemical-free water purification is gentle on the skin and does not cause eye irritation. This means that all family members can relax and enjoy their time in the water.

Privacy thanks to privacy screens and planting

Right next to the natural pool is the sunbathing area, which contrasts with the natural stone slabs. There is plenty of space under the large parasol to enjoy a hot summer’s day on the sun loungers. From there, the steps lead gradually into the crystal-clear water.

The surrounding wooden deck brings additional structure to the garden. At the same time, the entire pool technology is hidden underneath. The positioning in the garden means that no additional technical room is required. The wooden deck is used as a sunbathing area by the pool and becomes a cosy place thanks to the privacy screen. If the shade provided by the existing tree is not sufficient, the parasol can be stretched over the sunbathing area so that hot summer days can still be enjoyed by the pool.

Privacy was a key wish of our client. In order to increase this, particularly around the swimming pool, a privacy screen was also created from local Douglas fir. This allows the whole family to enjoy their oasis of retreat without prying eyes. In addition, there was already a privacy screen next to the terrace of the house. The choice of wood harmoniously complements the existing with the new and incorporates the existing design elements.

Planting the cosy garden

After the garden design, most of the plants from the previous outdoor space can be found again. Next to the narrow path from the terrace to the garden is a planting corner, which is an eye-catcher from the sunbathing area. The Japanese spindle bush (Euronymus japonicus ‘Aureus’) and the spring fragrant flower (Osmanthus burkwoodii) have been newly planted. The latter plant in particular attracts butterflies and bees with its delicate white blossoms and thus ensures greater vitality in the garden.

The new lawn is also broken up by small stepping stones that lead past the swimming pool and out of the garden. This creates a further highlight in the garden, which is visually extended by these narrow paths.

Overall, a cosy bathing paradise was created here, which is a place of peace and relaxation for the client. The individual design elements combine to create an aesthetically pleasing overall picture and provide privacy and cosy seating in a homely atmosphere.
